On Monday UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon opened a summit with a urge to the assembled members. The assembled members include Presidents from different countries,Prime minister and kings. The secretary general requested the assembled persons to use their powers and meet the UN goals. The main goal of UN Millennium Development Goals to lift the worlds poorest people by the year 2015.
After a decade the world leaders have joined hands to tackle the world poverty which is the ambitious goal. The goal is very ambitious but right action will make it possible within the deadline. Millennium development goal will surely be achieved and we will achieve them says General Assembly President Joseph Deiss. The plight of the poor around the world has been ignored from centuries but new Millennium will solve all the problems.
The world leaders pledged to solve all the poverty ,disease,inequity and ignorance and reduce the poverty to half. The main aim of millennium is that to get every child educated ,reverse the HIV/AIDS,less maternal maternity and child mortality. The aim even includes helping poor people access to clean water and sanitation equality among women,protect the environment,global trade and improving the financial system. The real results are been seen at present said Ban but the advances seems to be fragile and much more needs to be done.
