Israel president Shimon Peres described Gandhi as a transformational leader as he influenced many people. The Nobel Laureate said that many people consider Gandhi as a prophet and a role model of tolerance. The same way of tolerance has come out in India and the country is following unity in diversity.
The president even described India to be one of the oldest cultures of the world with values. These words were spoken by Peres to a parliamentarians from India which was led by a congress MP Naveen. The teachings of the father of the nation Gandhi were even touched upon when the Israeli president spoke. Many revolutionary ideas of Mahatma Gandhi were been taken while on speech by the president.
The president spoke about the passion for Indian society and the culture prevailing. The bilateral relationship between the two countries India and Israel has been shaped over years. The diplomatic relationship between India and Israel has been establish from the year 1992 and has been continuing.
