Burqa is the face covering dress worn by Muslim women across the world , including the modern European countries. And post the September 11th attack on the Twin Towers, many European countries have been wary of this dress as it has been used by some militants for attacking the NATO and US forces.
Now Belgium is planning to bring in a legislation banning the wearing of Burqa by any women in public places. The first stage of the action is done already and the Parliament approval is to be taken up in the next few weeks. There could be big opposition for this from the Middle East countries, especially Iran , as it would be feeling this as a intrusion into fundamental religious custom.
