After the success of small cars in the market, almost every manufacturer, who so far have been only manufacturing luxurious car has forayed into small car segment to expand their customer base.

Cars have long back become a commodity to people than a luxury. With the coming of small cars that could fit their family as well as their budget, there was no looking back. The advent of small cars saw the number of car sales surging and did not fail to get the attention of the big car manufacturers. Top players of luxury cars like Toyota, Ford etc have forayed into this segment and launched their small cars for their middle class customers.

They are concentrating on launching small cars in developing countries like India and China, where the sales has boosted their annual reports.
