Gold races to 1217 dollars

Dubai crisis has only increased the demand for the yellow metal, with the prices hitting a new high of 1217 dollars to an ounce. The Gold prices have been touching a new high in the last four months , thanks to heavy buying by investors and also by countries like India, South Korea and China.
These countries have started putting their excess trade surplus in Gold rather than in US treasuries.
