The Taleban has a strong base of over 30000 soldiers spread across the Pakistan – Afghanistan border towns stretching over 2000 square kilometers. Now both the US and the Pakistani troops have gone on a massive offensive against these Taleban network since the last few days.
There is a three pronged attack with both ground troops and also the air force in full attack. US and NATO forces are pushing in from the Afghanistan side, while the Pakistani forces are zooming in towards the Taleban heartland of Waziristan.
