We all need vision. And, perfect vision. I am not talking about the corporate mantra of vision. I am talking about the normal human eye vision. And, wherever there is a deficiency, we must work together, the consumers, the doctors and the opticians, must work together to restore the same.

This is also the main aim with which the vision council works. The Vision council is a non profit organisation which works towards providing better vision care for all the people. It offers resources and tools to its professional members who are the manufacturers of tools of vision health and vision correction.

The vision council represents the members of the optical industry who are involved in the prefession of Eye Protection. By bringing the optical providers community together, it provides a forum for discussion and education on better vision and better vision care products.

It carries out research and training to enable better delivery by its members. It also conducts networking events. It acts as the voice of the supply side of vision care. Through this, it connects the optical industry, the consumers and also the government which is very interested in ensuring better vision for all.

The vision council was started in 1940s. From then till now, they have done some sterling service to the evolving needs of the optical industry and also that of the consumers.

Anyone who is involved in the optical industry can become a member of this council as long as the business is located in North America.
