Roger Federer has the best chance of winning his maiden French open this year. He beat Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina in five sets, a really hard fought win. He now faces Robin Soderling . Earlier, Soderling beat Fernando Gonzalez, again in five sets to enter the finals.

With arch rival Nadal having been beaten by Soderling, this is the best chance Federer has of getting that one crown which has eluded him so far. If he gets the crown, then he would have got all the four crowns and also equalled Pete Sampras’ record of 14 grand slams.
