Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand is a fantastic book. It has won many acclaims. I have often wondered just about the topic of the book. Suppose Atlas really shrugged? What would have happened? It is that very sense of responsibility of taking over the concerns of the world which must have kept Atlas going. The fear of losing the world and seeing it shatter down must have weighed greatly on his mind.

Suppose you were Atlas and you decided to shrugg, what would have happened?

Going by Ayn Rand, nothing much. The world would still have survived. That would have proved the unnecessary worry that Atlas had throughout the history. It is a fantastic metaphor for most of us who worry incessantly on so many things.
