Whenever I see this word, “empowerment”, I smile at it. Can anyone empower me? Obviously this cannot happen. Empowering looks such a decoy. Can I empower anyone in this world? NO. Power is never given. Power is always taken. Buy those who are at a position to take it. So, ‘empowering’ is all about I taking the power to do something on all my own. What somebody can do is to not to discourage me from doing it. That is all. So, the real meaning of empowerment is I, by myself ensuring that I have the freedom to do as I please within the boundaries of certain rules and context.
