Water, Water Everywhere…

The accessibility of water for millions of people comes under question with every passing day. We haven’t really understood how scarce a resource water is. We haven’t really understood how easily polluted it gets. Half the populations in most of the populous countries don’t have easy access to water. Take India for example. It is staking its claim to super power status. It has plenty of water sources. In spite of this all, almost half or more of its people walk at least 3 or more kilometers to get a pot of water.

I am reminded of the famous poem which goes like this :”water water everywhere, but not a drop to drink..”
