Whenever I see portraits of different people from the different eras, I used to get a feeling : how good would it be to get myself painted like this?
Though we live in an age of photographs and everything digital, the charm of the hand made painting is not lost. In fact, the more digital images one sees, the more the longing to have the handmade paintings collected and kept at home for viewing pleasure.
There is one way to do this, however. There is a site I found : http://www.paintyourlife.com  which helps us do exactly this.

Say, you want to draw your mother and gift it on mother’s day to her. All you need to do is to take her photograph in the pose that you would like to be drawn, send it by mail to them and pay a 20% advance on the fee and tell them what kind of painting you want. Oil or watercolour and so on. You get the painting done ina few days time and sent to you.

What better mother’s day gifts can be there than this one!
