I learnt this from the priest in our church. One day I was talking to him about our likes and dislikes and about God in general.
He asked me suddenly : “What do you think is the essential difference between man and God?” I blinked. I wondered about it. He is all powerful. We are powerless. He can do lots of things which I cannot…”
The priest answered it himself: “the essential difference is that He creates. We don’t”. The priest left it at that. I have been wondering ever since.
Whenever we do something creative, we become energetic and positively charged. When we grow a simple plant, we feel so happy. When we create a drawing, we are so happy. When we shoot a film, we are so happy. The very act of creating something charges us positively.
We also destroy. We destroy our environment. We kill each other. But, can we create our environment? It will take ages. Can we give life to a human being who has been slain? NO. We cannot. Then, what right do we have to destroy?
Let us create. Let us feel like God. That is the way to becoming God.
