Penny wise but pound foolish goes the maxim. It is true in so many walks of life. It is true when it comes to hiring professional help. I once watched this scene at my friend’s place. He just hired an electrician for a repair work. The electricial came, took a look at the electric box with one expert eye and knew what the problem was. He took out his equipments and corrected the whole thing and went away. He charged $75 for that 5 minute job. My friend was a little aghast. He was wondering, “it took all of 5 minutes and $75 for it?”

I explained to him that it took only 5 minutes because the guy who came in was an expert. He knew typically where things would go wrong and checked and also corrected it in no time. Less than an expert, we would still be probably struggling to even figure out what was wrong.
