The english words and pronunciation has always given me the headaches. Just listen to these words and tell me what kind of a language we have :

“Post” & “Past” : Clear. There is no confusion here.

“Cost” & “Cast” & “Coast” : Now , the confusion begins. Just by saying the word, you would not know what I had in mind.

You can always park the car but you can never car the park.

You can always go around in cirlcles but you can never circle the rounds

You can always be aghast but never just ghast.

Lieutenant is pronunced as if it were the word “Lef – ti – nant” whereas the word does not even have the “f” which has to be pronounced.

Doesn’t it sound funny?!!
