Advertising today is moving towards more and more visual medium. There were times when everyone read a long copy. There were times when people read newspapers from top to bottom. There were times when people wrote long, beautiful letters, starting with “Dear Sir” and ending with “Your very faithfully” and all that.

Now is the time of SMS and Twitter. Now is the time of shortest form of messge if at all, that is.

These are the times when impact is the only word the advertisers, at least the really good ones think about.

The ads today are moving very clearly towards being completely audio visual mode, to dominate the tellys of the world and with the maximum impact.

Whatever will happen to copy writing?
