Teenagers think they know everything. Even about things that they have barely any idea about. It is no different when it comes to the most important topic which is there in every teenager’s mind : Sex.

There are so many myths about sex. As kids, we get answers for almost all the questions that we ask our parents. Even if the parents don’t know the answers, they all try to give the answers to us. Probably with the exception of the topics on sex. The moment a kid asks an innocent “mommy, how do babies get born”? the parents are confused on how to answer that question. They are not so sure. Should they tell the truth? Would the kid understand? So, they give some vague answers, which remain with the kid even when it becomes a teenager.

There are enough number of myths one has seen. Right from “if you get kissed by a boy, you would get pregnant” to “if you have a vigorous exercise post sex, you wouldn’t conceive”, there are so many of them that it is difficult to even count them.

And, in the budding teenage years, they can really harm the person. But, where can they go for reliable advice?
