The Red River is reaching record high levels not reached in the last 112 years, resulting in flooding of many areas in the US Midwest. The local authorities have already vacated over 400 families from their homes in the last two days to avoid any human loss.

Now, the authorities have asked another 1100 families to leave the nearby areas in order to avoid danger to their lives and belongings. The key reason for the flooding is said to be the El Nino factor, say experts.
