Muntadar Al-zaidi, the Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes against the visiting US President George Bush, has been sentenced for three years imprisonment by the Iraqi Judge hearing the case. Under the Iraqi laws he could have been jailed for 15 years, but has been put only on a 3 years sentence. The sentence has not been taken lightly by his supporters and family members, who are planning to appeal against the verdict to higher court.
