At times I used to get confused on the differentkinds of the file extensions that I used to see in the documents etc which came into my mail. At times it was a .doc file. At times it was a .jpg file. At times it was something different.

How to open these files? What do these extensions mean? That was a conundrum for a long time for me.
But, not anymore. I just found the perfect answer : file extension exe

It lists every possible file extension that is there. Over 1000 odd extension types are defined, classified and listed over there. Whenever I get a new one, or what I don’t understand, I simply go there and figure out as to what it is and how to open it.
